Recent incidents have highlighted these weaknesses, including a major outage affecting global cloud computing and latest online threats that disrupted production at significant plants and supply chains across various businesses.

A ex-military leader of the Britain's aerial defense command will deliver recommendations next month on how the publicly-supported center can optimally help the scope of official artificial intelligence goals in national security, national security and intelligence.

The institute's chair, a previous Amazon UK leader, confirmed that multiple research initiatives at the center employing hundreds have been closed, spun out or completed because they fail to match with the fresh focus.
